After Colorado Rockies
These mountains in Virginia,
the Alleghenies,
look half sized.
Trees run freely everywhere
there are no bald,
pointed peaks to frighten
the eye.
The pines and spruce
run green
to the mountain top.
Friendly dogs
piss on trunks
of even highest
trees
