Although there is a lot of good stuff in this article, there is some stuff central to the argument that is not so good.

Milloy writes, "There is no scientific evidence showing that emissions have trapped any heat whatsoever." Whut? Without Greenhouse Gas emissions, Earth would be a frozen ball of ice. The two main greenhouse gases are water vapor and carbon dioxide, which contribute about nine-tenths and one-tenth of the Greenhouse Effect respectively. This is the only settled part of AGW science, but contradicting it does no good to the skeptical cause at all.

The EPA has done some good work in reducing sulfur, particulate and nitrous oxide emissions, which are indeed harmful to human and animal health. Many of these emissions do indeed originate from burning of fossil fuels. If leading skeptic Tony Heller is enthusiastic over the cleaner air he has witnessed over just the last couple of decades, I'm persuaded.

I'm with Milloy when he says that the Endangerment Finding wrongly names CO2 as a pollutant, which as any fule noes it is not. That's not all. The Endangerment Finding gives the EPA power to add large unnecessary costs to energy generation whether for electricity or for transport. The EPA has the power simply through diktät to hobble Americsn industry in many thousands of ways, reducing efficiency and ultimately standards of living and of environmental protection.

Terminating these powers can have little harmful outcome, while being massively beneficial.

The renaissance liberated reason and it was science that gave birth to all the technology that created the industrial revolution. But to the environmentalists, the industrial revolution created a polluted, threatened world. The hatred environmentalists have for the human being is so acute, the best they can hope for is to embezzle the prestige of science that has been used in a way they are morally estranged from.
