I am reposting Stephen Heins poem as I've created a 'poetry poster' for him of his great poem about his great great grandfather. Thank you Stephen.

Ancestral Shore
Sequestered in Sheboygan
on the shores of oceanic
Lake Michigan
for twenty years
Within one mile of where
I overlook the great inland sea
landed my Great, Great Grandfather Charles
in 1850
from Germany
Alone
barely sixteen
he braved the Atlantic passage
the Saint Lawrence seaway
to precede me here
I treasure that thought
pioneer Heins
on American soil
my neighbor
Stephen Heins

Also, venture to subscribe to Stephen's page & website The Crude Life which addresses environmental consciousness. What does a writer do? He writes. He pens with a passion. This makes life worth living, expressing one's self in carefully chosen articulated words... as Stephen does so well.
