I wonder if our indigenous peoples and lands would have similar legal protections.

Those legal property rights in Canada is far beyond what our citizens' protections are if some developers will profitable in its use and pay a lot in taxes on a person's land, then the gov. will simply take that land and reimburses at a fraction of its real value - as the developers interest testifies too.

Anyway - no one ever owns their land because of property taxes. Stop paying and it's no longer 'yours'. Are indigenous tribal lands taxed, or are they like the wealthy's properties that are own by offshore corporations so all the public resourced they suck-off us are paid-for by our taxed.

I like to define a special 'Letter of Marque' that nations may grant to groups of people that seek-out those properties and if no one has paid taxes the nations they leaching from that the group may take possession with force if needed and be assigned as owners once they pay the yearly tax and some reasonable set amount. Desn't that sound fun, the legally immune owners of the corporation can't be suited but if they resist, they can be shot down and shot over and over till they stop twitching as Just for the blood-sucking leaches need.

Sound reasonable?

God Bless., Steve
