The millions of dollars in jet fuel that Bill Gates uses is perfectly fine, though, because he pays one of his buddies to 'offset' his carbon'.

EVs will never supplant gas or diesel powered vehicles: charging takes too long & electricity has to come from somewhere = petroleum powered vehicles.

Source of lithium is another issue. Not to mention that they die in the winter.

And what do you do with it? My problem is you replace the battery pack after maybe 8 years at the cost of a new car. So then try and sell it instead? Who wants to pay double on a used car. There's a lot of 5 year old EVs sitting on the used market.

Once confined to 15, 105 minute or C-40 cities (electronic prisons) driving will be obsolete, except for the once-every-three-years (with permission) travels beyond your city's boundaries, assuming you're adhering to policies, practices, procedures, & protocols and your social credit score and productivity participating in the expansion of the blockchain and acting as a node in the internet of bodies/internet of things network is considered acceptable along with your regular bug dietary restriction observance and your receipt of all mandated infusions of chemicals to further synthesize and lobotomize you into compliance and complacency. Besides, why worry about all those electromagnetic frequencies and radiation from the batteries you're riding on top of when you can just get hooked directly in and allow the microwaves to cook you directly?
