Never mind that the deadly radiation from driving around on those battery banks will significantly diminish the quality and quantity of life for those so inclined, or that the disposal of said batteries is a hazard (landfills full of those and wind turbines, solar panels and other non-recyclable "solutions")....we can rest assured that they are doing exactly what they were intended to do. Create a whole cadre of "me, too" lemmings who choose to virtue signal large (and who don't mind short runs and long plug ins and will welcome 15, 10 or 5 minute, C-40 cities as a solution to the problem of plugging in every so many hundred miles) and then die of radiation poisoning or immune system failures of varying kinds, all the while leaving the proud legacy of electric boat anchors parked in their drive ways. When you examine the amount of "government" subsidies paid in order for the manufacturers to even come close to break even it makes even less intelligent sense to continue down this path to stupidity of significant kinds.

So something that increases demand decrease the price, hard to believe especially if the commodities, regulatory, construction, and permitting process are taken into account.
