I totally support your conclusion about RE. I just wanted to point out that the electrical engineers have figured out how to supply frequency support to the grid, however only on a small scale
The inverter bases resources IBR, are now being designed to be “ grid forming “ vs grid following. So they can help provide some inertia or resistance to disturbances which large synchronous generators have historically provided.
So they are getting better, but I do believe the intermittency and storage issues are the true Achilles heel of large grid scale RE systems. And the green energy policies are economic insanity to pursue.
