Measuring and tracking Scope 3 emissions may be tricky, but companies don’t need to do everything at once to make meaningful progress. By Emma Cox and Casey Herman
To simplify this process of reducing emissions scopes is that it is quite easy. The genesis of emissions starts with two sectors of the economy: electrical generation & industrial heat, tackle these & slowly but surely the carbon intensity of the scopes decreases. You can do it quite easily, replace every electrical generation plant with hydro, nuclear, & natural gas-with major being nuclear-and use nuclear for process heat. Those two things will reduce over 60% of emissions.
A modest proposal.
